Meet the newest member of the Johnston family :D
In the school holidays Dylan, Mum and I decided that we NEEDED a cat, after seeing some gorgeous kittens in the pet shop. After a bit of cat bombing dad's office (we put cat puns, reasons why we need a cat, cat photos and pretty much anything cat on the walls, floor and contents of Dad's studdy.), some convincing and Dad talking to other people, WE WERE ALLOWED TO GET A CAT!!!!! We decided that we were going to get a kitten, and that they would be from an animal shelter of some kind.
Now obviously cats cost money. We started with selling some of my told toys and things I didn't use to put the money towards the kitten, (Aka Kitten Cash :D) and had a look online to see what we could need to get for our furry friend, and what animal shelters were nearby us. We found a few, and this is when I got SUPER excited!!!
So on Saturday, after a tiring game of rugby and a hot chocolate (and a shower hehe) we set off with Nana with the dream of a cat in one hand and knowing us our phones in the other (I couldn't help writing that, but you know you can relate!) ;) to go find ourselves a cute lil kitty cat!

The journey home
We didn't want to leave Taupo, but we had to.
On the way home we stopped at Waiouru to check out the Army Museum. We found the medals of Mums great uncle ... Major General Sir William Gentry - or Uncle Bill!
The man didn't answer Dylan so he stuck his finger in his ear to check they weren't blocked!
Hello, is anyone out there?
We climbed on the tank outside but it was getting really cold so we didn't hang around :)
We had to stop in Taihape to sit on the gumboot, it was freezing after the sun and fun in Taupo.
We are back home now and can't wait to go back to Taupo again :-)

Sneaking off for a night time soak
We had so much fun at DeBretts this morning we convinced Mum we had to go back for a night swim. It was really hot in the main pools but not so warm in the kids pools. The night lights were awesome :)

News flash ... Becca wins minigolf
- Becca
Rest seat while Mum did her many shots. She won't let us forget she got a hole in one, so we won't let her forget she came last!
I was trying to hide from the sun, there wasn't many shady places.
Huka Falls
OMG!! The water moved so fast. It wasn't as big as we thought it would be but there was so much water.
